Energy Healing

Palm healing as well as the impulse of spoken word can influence the subtle energy structures of ourselves.

By these methods it is possible to detect and shape thought patterns, give more emphasis to the perceptions of our heart and harmonize the energy field.

A well known tradition in this regard is Reiki. It can be translated as "Energy of the Soul".

Zen-Meditation and Kundalini Yoga.

Both have triggered transformational processes in me, which I want to share with you.

Energy Healing

Meditation

Zen-Meditation represents the essence of meditation. Its emphasis is on sitting silently and watching the breath consciously. 

While doing this, we don't participate actively in the stream of thoughts, which has a calming effect on body and mind. Also there is more time and space to listen to our inner voice which comes from our heart.

Next to that we notice that serenity crystallizes, which helps us cope with day to day issues  and makes us feel more balanced and grounded.

Kundalini Yoga am Meer

Yoga

In general yoga can be described as a dynamic way of meditation, because we connect movement and consciousness.

Physical exercises, breathing exercises and mantra chanting help to unwind in the course of a yoga class and to come to the inner center. Because the body is moved actively in yoga, for many people it is easier to find into a balanced state doing yoga than just sitting in meditation.

Ultimately both yoga and sitting meditation have the same calming effect on our system. If we are to decide which one to choose, it is good to pick the one which is easier approachable for us.

Kundalini Yoga in particular stimulates the Kundalini energy and helps it to rise along the spine, in order to distribute it also to higher chakras and expand our consciousness. Because of this reason Kundalini Yoga is often considered as Yoga of Awareness.

In comparison with other styles of yoga Kundalini Yoga is less focused on stretching and strengthening, but is more recognizable by its rhythmic movements in coordination with the breath.
